Teams A team must consist of ten (10) or more members in the KwanzaaFest Beat Obesity 5K Walk and Run. The three teams with the most members will receive a team prize. Your team members (75% of registered team members) must participate in the 5K on Saturday, December 14, 2019 to be eligible for prizes.
Packet Pick-Up Friday, December 13, 2019 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm and
Saturday, December 14, 2019 6:30 am – 7:45 am
Packet pick-up will be located near the
Automobile Building, located in Fair Park.
Team captains will not be able to pick-up T-shirts for their team members due to the limited number of T-Shirts. Please do not ask to do so. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation

How to Register Simply complete and follow the information on the online registration form. The Team Captain should create a new team name (below) and register. Then tell the team members to join the team name created when they register. Each team member must complete an entry form via the registration link.
Registration Deadline Tuesday, December 10, 2019 11:59 pm (NO EXCEPTIONS)

The top three teams with the largest number of team members on event day will receive individual prizes for all team members. Prizes will be distributed after the 5K Walk/Run event.

NOTE: KwanzaaFest volunteers are unable to supervise children while parents/guardians participate in the run/walk the 5K event. Please make plans to secure supervision for your child(ren) during the walk/run events.

If you see your team name listed in the box below, DO NOT ENTER IT AGAIN. If you see your team name followed by another person's name you do not recognize, the team name has already been taken, choose another name. Be sure to tell your team members the team name so they can all select the correct team on their registration forms.

If your team name is NOT on the list, complete this form and press Submit. After you have successfully added your team name, go to the registration form and register for the race.


KwanzaaFest Information
  1. NO BACKPACKS
  2. NO FLYING COLORS ON HEAD OR NECK.
  3. NO CONCEALED WEAPONS ALLOWED. ALL WEAPONS WILL BE CONFISCATED AND NOT RETURNED.
  4. OPEN CARRY OF HANDGUNS IS PROHIBITED.
  5. MEDICAL ALERT - Please advise BEFORE metal detector scanning, if you have any type of internal metal health device.
  6. NO SOLICITING WITHIN 200 FT.
  7. NO SOLICITING INSIDE BUILDING UNLESS YOU'RE A VENDOR. VENDORS, STAY WITHIN YOUR BOOTH AREA.
  8. CHILDREN UNDER THIRTEEN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
  9. Sponsors, Vendors, Committee Members, Volunteers, Contractors, Entertainers must have credentials/badge to enter.
  10. NO SMOKING
  11. KWANZAAFEST IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOST ITEMS
