In the spirit of Kujichagulia, entertainment is always provided by individuals, aspiring artists, local schools, churches and social organizations as a form of self expression. KwanzaaFest’s entertainment includes, R&B, Old School, Jazz, Gospel, Dancing, Acting, Fashion Shows, African Dancers, Drummers, Debate Contest, and professional groups.

National Talent and Artists are secured by local radio stations and performances are for both days of the festival. A few of the previous featured artists: Freddie Jackson, Karen White, Usher, Howard Hewett, Twista, Guerrella Black, Profyle Group, Tevin Campbell, KeKe Wyatt, Avant, Alecia Keys, Tyrese, Omarion, Marques Houston, Mike Jones, Ludacris, God’s Property, Nivea, Trillvile, T Pain, Paul Wall, Jaheim, Plies, Mario, Cassidy, The Dream, Ann Nesby, Elisabeth Withers, B5, Birdman, Trey Songz, Gorilla Zoe, Ledisi, Jon B, Mary Mary, Deborah Cox, Bobby Valentine, Jasmine Sullivan, Gemini, Pleasure P, Case, and Urban Mystic.

We are inviting all Singers, Dancers, Hip Hop / Rappers & Steppers who have won 1st or 2nd place in a contest within the last 3 years. You must send us a non-returnable DVD of your performance. With the Place, Date, Time and contact phone number of the contest that you placed 1st or 2nd in.
We will pick the top 5 of each category to participate at our KwanzaaFest Event.
Each person or group will have 5 minutes to persuade the audience they are the best.
THE AUDIENCE WILL PARTICITATE APOLLO STYLE TO PICK THE WINNER!

This year’s KwanzaaFest is Saturday, December 12th from 10 AM – 7 PM and Sunday, December 13th from 11 AM – 6 PM, at the Automobile Building in Fair Park, Dallas, Texas. This is your invitation to participate in the Entertainment Segment. Saturday will feature performances by local schools, individuals and organizations that will provide entertainment in the areas of Jazz, R&B, Vocals and much more.
All entries must include an audio or video CD or DVD of your acapella performance for pre-qualification. Deadline for submitting performances is, November 13, 2009.
