KwanzaaFest in it’s 18th year, has grown exponentially in size and vision and continues to offer programming of cultural, educational and social significance. The celebration (which is free to the general public) attracts thousands of local, regional and national participants, vendors and sponsors. Each year, event organizers, who volunteer their time, earmark thousands of dollars and rely on corporate entities to help underwrite the cost.
KwanzaaFest! continues to reach an array of conscientious consumers and generate extensive exposure for sponsors, vendors, and entertainers via name and product recognition. It also creates a distinctive opportunity for those who participate to support this widely observed and liberating observance. Contributions, which are tax-deductible, helps directly finance unique social and cultural enrichment that KwanzaaFest! offers.
KwanzaaFest! features National Recording Artists, exhibitors from across the country, cultural entertainment, computer technology, health screenings, children’s activities, car shows, educational forums and a Poster/Poetry Contest (13 participating cities).
KwanzaaFest! is on Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.and Sunday, December 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Automobile Building at Fair Park. Estimated attendees for both days exceeded 50,000 in 2007.
