KwanzaaFest is in it’s 18th year...
Last year was a pivotal success, and here are some of the highlights of 2007:
- KwanzaaFest retains its title as the largest cultural event in the southwest and maintained its free admission and parking to more than 50K patrons
- HealthFest and the medical community provided health screenings and tests to more than 19,268 attendees in areas of major concern to our demographic, from blood pressure to breast cancer, a 67% increase over 2006
- The KwanzaaFest Obesity Run and 5K walk grew three fold this year and promises similar growth next year

John Wiley Price's brand of advocacy and activism can be summed up in this way: John Wiley Price addresses real issues, advances real change and achieves real results. He has earned the full respect of the constituents within his district and in the County at-large. Additionally, he has placed himself in the vanguard for those who have been historically locked out, especially for African-American people. He campaigned initially as “Our Man Downtown”, and has proven himself as such over the years.
